Through my modded Aria the soundstage height is very apparent alongside it's sprawling width. On one hand, Aria is amazing with mid-bass-driven music while on the other Starfield with sub-bass-driven music like indie. However, they’re interrelated and serve various niches.
MOONDROP ARIA VS STARFIELD DRIVER
On paper, the Starfield is almost identical to the KXXS, with both having the same measurement, the same 1 DD setup and the difference only in the driver design. Both headphones can stand distortion 'masterfully' but Aria seems to handle distortion (attention to thrid harmonic and above) even better than Starfield except around 900Hz, there is this peak that shows up on both drivers. Starfield is a little brighter and more expensive antecedent of the Aria. "and holy heck it’s too immersive" ~ his words XD The most obvious comparison with the Moondrop Starfield is the KXXS. Recommended them to a gaming friend and he received them 2 days ago he's downright smitten with them I love mine and feel absolutely no need to change them They’re close enough to the Starfields so as to replace them (but I still think the Starfields look cooler.

It's said to be better in some aspects and inferior in others, ultimately it's down to personal preference. At 79.99, the Moondrop Aria are one of the most impressive IEMs I’ve tested this year. It is the cohesion and the faster transients that make the Aria most appealing to my ears. The differences become most obvious when listening to the whole frequency spectrum in context. Its slower low end and its reduced treble extension makes the whole sonic perception less crisp and cohesive.
